May 21, 2026
Dear Parents and Families,
As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we are excited to continue building strong learning opportunities for all students in our district. Our staff remains committed to creating safe, welcoming schools where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
During the upcoming school year, the district will continue operating in two school buildings. This structure allows us to make the best use of our facilities while supporting students at each grade level in an environment designed to meet their needs. I will be assuming the role of Superintendent and elementary school principal and moving my office to the elementary school. Stephanie McEwen will assume the roles of high school principal, special education director, and high school special education teacher. This move will allow us to hire a new special education teacher to support the elementary school. Our grade configurations for the 2026–2027 school year will remain the same. Elementary and Middle School students (K-8) will continue learning together in one building, while secondary students will attend the other building. Keeping these grade-level groups together helps us provide age-appropriate instruction, activities, and support systems that encourage student success.
At this time, the base model is projected to look like this:
K – Dani Schneider
1–2 – Whitney Francis
3–4 – Lynnell Van Patten
5–6 – Roxi Barnhart
7–8 – Lynn Bailey
Support Staff- Bryan Walton, Melodie Farnham, Isabelle Michelini
High School Staff
Jason Evans – Math
Jonathan Ellingson – ELA/SS
Dean Munkers – PE/Health
Nikkole Duitsman – Science
Support staff- Jennifer Flores, Vanessa Rangel
We are proud of the progress our students and staff continue to make, and we appreciate the partnership we share with our families. Your support plays an important role in helping our schools remain positive places for learning and growth.
As we move into the new school year, we look forward to continuing traditions, celebrating achievements, and creating new opportunities for students across our district. Together, we will continue working to provide the best possible educational experience for every child.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools and community. We are excited for another great year ahead.
Sincerely,
Mickel Kidd
